This is a beautiful large antique Victorian circa 1890 gilt metal Scottish paste citrine lovers knot brooch.
The stone is a paste citrine made to simulate a real citrine from the Cairngorm mountain range.
The brooch has a beautiful tubular gilt metal frame which has slight wear to the gilt commensurate with age. The width is 5.5 cm ( two and a fifth inches ) and the pin and C clasp are in good working condition although the C clasp is not original. The brooch has an original safety chain and pin fitted.
