Description:This is a late 19th/early 20thC.,Qing [Ching] Dynasty, Chinese, silk, embroidered roundel depictingtwo ladies holdingfans near a censor. Characteristics includedelicate and intricate silk satin stitch embroidery accented with Pekingstitch, couched cording, and other decorative stitches; blue-hued edging embellishedwith gold metallic thread depicting lotus blossoms, flaming pearls and vases;tea trade ribbon accents; and a yellow-green, silk backing. This roundel isquite charming as the ladies are within nature, near a rabbit, and due to theunending floral, decorative border adorned with bees. The embroidery is inexcellent condition! Please note, this roundel shows signs of wear includingminor staining and minor soiling. Please see photos for more details!
