Grover Cleveland (1837-1908) was the onlyman to serve

two non-consecutive terms as President of the United States.

Hewas elected in 1884, defeated in 1888, and won again

in 1892. He was probablyone of the most honest men ever

to serve as President. His presidency wasmarked by fiscal

discipline and a refusal to give in to special interestslooking

for government handouts.
