The painting has been restored by the hot wax process which adheres a newer canvas backing to the old canvas for stability and to facilitate cleaning & repairs etc. Overall a Beautiful Portrait with light in painting that displays well. The frame is as solid as can be with light cracking and minimal gesso loss. We have the large 1\" chips that is missing on the bottom left of the oval portion of the frame. This portrait is & frame are guaranteed to Impress.
