This listing is for a
Stunning and Artful Vintage rendition of
\"Lillian Russell\"
the famous Movie star from the late 19th- early 20th Century.
She was constructed using pressed and shaped LEATHER for her face. Her head appears to be hollow but snaps back into place when gently pressed. Her features are HAND PAINTED and are still gorgeous. Her Hair was constructed of blond/yellow silk floss. The dress is wool felt trimmed in silk ribbon ruffles at the skirt. Underneath she wears a pink organdy slip and pink cotton bloomers both trimmed in cotton lace. I think her black boots are leather. Her blue hat is affixed to her head and retains the net, feather, and ribbon decoration. Her frail silk scarf is held in place by a choker w a blue stone.

She still carried her ID tag (unfortunately, no makers name, unless Lillian Russell made dolls)

Condition: her wool felt dress is a tad faded and dusty.

It is estimated that this doll is pre-1920 American made.
