This glazed porcelain \"Little Pals\"clown was the very first and most famous figurine ever produced by Lladro for its Collectors Society members.It was issued in 1985, the yearthe societywas established.\"Little Pals\"depicts a clown carrying a poodle puppy in each pocket. Lladro chose a simple clown outfit in order todevote more attention to the faces of the clown &puppies and the drapes of his single suspender trousers. The roundness of his face is a departure from the usual elongation of most Lladro figurines. The clown\'s expression is the epitome of contentment as the pups snuggle securely in his pockets.The figurine measures 8 3/4\" tall and bears the Lladro hallmark & 1st issue Collectors Society 1985 stamp on the bottom. It has been displayed in a glass case and is in pristine condition, but the box with the original straw packing material has some tape marks onthe top & front(see pics). Priority shipping is free
