Long Neck Black Glass Porter Bottle, Late 1700\'s, Better Than Typical Color:
$130.00

We are happy to offer this very old long neck Dutch porter bottle in a finer color and condition than normally seen. The bottle is 10 1/2\" tall, with the neck making up nearly half of the height at 4 3/4\". The color is a yellow olive, lighter and brighter than the muddy olive ambers usually found. There are several crude features we have attempted to capture in the photos - a real gloppy looking string lip, an uneven base that gives the bottle a slight lean, and a nasty tubular pontil scar that could slice your finger. There are also a few nice long teardrop bubbles. The bottle is in great undamaged condition with only a minor scratch or two and a slight inside dull appearance.
