The item up for offer is a wonderful vintage 1986 Longaberger Sewing Basket with a hinged lid, lift-up knob, and swing handle.
Basket dimensions are approximately 8 1/2\" tall with a 13\" diameter. The basket is in great shape.....definitely does not look 28 years old! Great patina, leather hinge straps are still soft and supple.
There are no broken or chipped weaves. A few of the downward weaves have small splits as they head into the bottom base strap near the tacks (see pictures 5 & 6), but they are part of the natural aging process and do not in any way detract from or lessen the integrity of the basket. This great old basket would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
