Here\'s a rare basket that\'s a must-have for the serious Longaberger collector.
This 2013 limited edition basket was the eleventh in the Longaberger Master\'s Studio Collection and was available only upon request. Each individual customer order was passed on to one of Longaberger\'s artisan basketmakers to be handcrafted individually. The entire process took about 12 weeks. This offer was open from March through August 2013. The original price was $800.
Here\'s a description in that year\'s Spring-Summer catalog describing the Master\'s Studio Collection:\"Our design team took extraordinary measures to ensure that America\'s premier basketmaker crafted the pinnacle of American picnic baskets. Based on fancy classic picnic baskets from the turn of the century, it\'s master\'s studio artistry with exceptional Longaberger functionality.\"
The basket measures approx 17.5\" long X 13.5\" wide X 10.5\" high. It weighs approx. 7 lbs 1 oz.
It has soft brushed cocoa leather side handles, plus straps that buckle in the front. There is also a leather-wrapped luggage-style front handle for carrying.
Inside, there are buckled straps for dinner plates and secured straps to hold flatware. There\'s lots ofroom for all the necessities, including a bottle of wine!
Also included is a beautiful Longaberger Woodcrafts cutting board that measures 10.5\" X 8\" X 1.25\" with curved corners adding to its elegance.
