Los Castillo, famous for inventive design, made this cross, a pin with a pendant attachment, like a jib sleeve that slides onto the pin back with a large bale. The marks are as follows: Onix Negro 011P, Hecho en Mexico, Los Castillo Taxco with the Eagle assay mark for the Sterling Silver content. Also on the bale jib which slides onto the pin, marks as follows: Los Castillo. Look at my pictures and see that Castillo took two plates of sterling and cut an Onyx sandwich. In between the plates of silver is an onyx cross. Then they inlaid the top as you see it with brass, turquoise and onyx. It\'s over 1/8th\" thick, closer to 3/16th\". If you turn it sideways, sure looks like a pair of eyes winking. Measures 2 3/4\" x 2\"- it is not light. It has weight and presence. Wait until you get it in the mail- you will not be disappointed- it is extremely cool.
