Lovely c1920 Tiffany & Co Sterling Silver 13\" Trumpet Vase
Presented is a superb Tiffany & Co sterling silver trumpet vase. This piece dates to around the 1910s-1920s. The vase is beautifully hand engraved with scrolled foliate designs around the rim, and a ribbon and floral wreathe design on the side. The floral wreathe forms a cartouche, which has a monogram of VP in elegant script. The base of the vase is weighted for stability. This is a well constructed piece, made from thick, heavy gauge silver with nice thick sides.
The underside is stamped Made for Tiffany & Co as well as sterling.
This piece is in great overall condition. We had the vase repaired, where the underside of the base had come loose, this is a very minor issue and is not noticeable without picking the vase up, turning it over, and inspecting it closely. Otherwise there are no issues, no splits, no dents, and no monogram removals.
This piece stands about 13 inches tall.
This piece weighs 470 grams or 16.6 regular ounces. Considering the weighting in the base, not all of this weight is sterling silver, but the majority of it is.
