She has a bisque socket head with expert modeling and crisp detailing. Blue glass sleep eyes are framed by painted lower lashes, and feathered brown brows. She has an open mouth with four square-cut upper teeth and a dimpled chin. She wears a blond synthetic wig with bangs, and long bountiful curls that come down past her shoulders. She is on a wood & composition jointed body, standing at 14.5” tall.
She wears a goldenrod straw sun hat with flowers and a pink ribbon. The hat matches well with a white net lace overlay on top of a pale pink dress, with pink bows and lace trim, a pink ribbon going around the waist. Underneath she wears a white cotton slip, striped cotton pantaloons with lace trim, brown socks, and cute oilcloth beige shoes.
MARKS : DEP 4
CONDITION : Hairline to the head, down the left side of the forehead into the top of the eye. See the illuminated photos for the best visualization of what this looks like. Other than this, the head is free of any other hairlines, cracks, chips, or restoration. Glass sleep eyes in original set. Wood and compositionbody is German, and has wear and touchups (see Photos); the right hand has been rebuilt, and the right hand the pinky and thumb rebuilt. The costume is good overall, with no real issues. Overall, this is a great doll for the beginning collector, or the lover of French DEPs!
