A beautiful 1930\'s Barbola style mirror with colourful floral decoration. This is an extremely well made freestanding mirror with a easel stand to the rear.
Bought at sale in Bakewell with two boudoir dolls from the 1930s; I assume because of the dolls and the mirror date from the same period, that they have been owned by the same person - hence the exceptional condition which is rare due to the delicate nature of the gesso work.
It would make the perfect addition to a bedside or dressing table, the mirror is in good vintage condition, with a some signs of wear (mainly discolouration) as you would expect from an item of this age. There is a small superficial scratch to the left of the bevelled glass, about a mm in width; not visible with the naked eye; otherwise the mirror is in amazing condition - especially the flowers which are not chipped.
6 inches wide by 8 inches tall.
Mirror will be sent via Hermes (unsigned). Thus, the postage is the lowest I can get for a parcel that will weight just under 2k...the mirror is small but the glass and the wooden setting are very heavy and it will require a lot of wrapping.
