BeautifulBrydon Brothers Saddle!! Hand-Made in Las Angeles! This saddle was made before 1940 as Brydon was sold at that time.

Lovely Chocolate color. Tree is sound. This saddle was made before Blevin Buckles and has the Al Ray stirrup buckles (buckles are marked Al Ray)Leather is in good shape for it\'s age - about 75 years old! No crazing or cracking on skirts, fenders, ect. Riggingis in good shape - no issues at all. Cinch strap is in good shape - Off billet has been replaced - it is nylon. 16\" very deep Hardseat. This is a big seat for its day. Has Tooling all over this saddle - pommel, double skirts, even under the back of the cantle. Amazing workmanship! I cannot see anywhere on this saddle where anything has been replaced or repaired besides the off billet. Stitching is all intact exceptfor front of horn. It is very tight on the hornbut you can see the separation - shown in pics.On the stirrup fenders, there is wear in the leather around the rivets/grommets that attach the Al Ray buckles. I would advise having these rivets redone and leather shifted up if you want to use the saddle. However, the previous owner did use it as is and trained horses in it so it was recently used.Hasoriginal black and white wool vaquero type border on skirts - a few sections of this are missing and shown in pics but still a lot there to look flashy! Wool fleece underneath had been heavily worn and was removed by previous owner so hecould use the saddle. Underside of saddle isthe plain leather that was under the fleece. Does not impact usability of saddle as long as you use a pad. When Saddle is on a stand, you don\'t notice it except I make sureto have a heavy pad underneath asskirts will curve inward over time and the pad will keep them flaired out and in their proper form. I\'ve had this with other vintage saddles I\'ve had sodon\'t think the fleece not being there is the cause for this but most likely age.Large leather covered stirrups - believe these are also original. All Original Conchos all around - none missing. All Original leather ties - these are all long and original length - they do show some crazing/cracking from age. This saddle is well-made!! It is a very large saddlewith double skirts. On the stirrup adjustments, almostall of the wear is on the third hole from the end, making this used by someone at least 6 ft tall. Due to thiswear on just that one length setting, I would adviseusing one of the other sets of holes to avoid any more wear on that section.Saddle was definitely was made for a tall person! The Al Davis buckles still do work.Own a piece of Cowboy History!! It\'s a show piece! Brydon Brothers saddles werealso made for the Hollywood movieindustry and even Roy Rogers had one!

Saddle pads shown are not included.
