This sale is for a 3\" diameter Lunkenheimer MOCKINGBIRD whistle and it is so marked on top of the bell.It has other names also sometimes being called a wildcat whistle or a fire alarm whistle. (see images)The whistle is overall invery good condition with nocracks, dents, dings welds, repairs, etc. The whistle is all original including the chain mechanism. Lunkenheimer made two varieties of these whistles, the first being this older one which had a rod that projected through the top of the whistle to keep the sliding disc in alignment. Apparently they found out that the rod was easily bent and then the mechanism did not work well or at alland it was subsequently replaced by a similar mechanism where the disc lid up on a fixed rod inside the bell. This whistle has the classic Lunkenheimer gently curved \"s\" shaped lever. Inlet is 3/4\". International buyers please email me before offerding. Wooden mounting block included in the sale.
