Royal Albert\'s Serena tea cup is beyond Serene, it is simply sublime! This prized, and extremely rare cup shape is known as Avon, and the date stamp places it circa 1940\'s. The Malvern cup shape is by far the most common of the two shapes, making this Avon teacup extremely valuable and collectable. It\'s whimsical beauty sings a siren\'s song to the princess that lives in every girl\'s heart. Tea time with Serena will transport you to a world of idyllic English gardens with bright pink, cabbage roses and floral in soft yellows, lavenders and blues, surrounded by golden fern leaves. The large bowl of the cup is filled with English Cabbage Roses and other pastel florals, while the outer wall is ringed with more golden ferns highlighting two floral sprays. It rests regally on a high pedestal foot that is trimmed with two rings of 22 Karat Gold. The finest feature of this royal cup, in my opinion, lies in its diminutive handle. The tiny loop, too small for even a finger to slip through, is designed to daintily rest between your fingers and thumb. It becomes an absolutely majestic extension of your hand like no other cup I\'ve held. It\'s truly a delightful experience to sip tea from this royal, vintage cup.
