A magnificent large 19thc Black Forest oak carved hunting theme frame. Dating c.1870.

Really excellent and intricate attention to carved detail on this outstanding frame. The frame takes the theme of hunting. Stag carved to top of frame, to each side is the head of a doe and to the bottom of frame is a carved fox head with poacher\'s bag, hunting horn and rifle. The remainder of the frame has fine and intricately carved oak leaves and acorns all of which wind around the body of the frame. The quality of the carving is second to none.

Carved frame measures some 19.5\" x 12.5\" max.

Condition is excellent and age commensurate. Lovely. There are one or two minor nibbles here and there to some leaves but really minimal and of no import. All as per images.
