This sale is for a MAGNIFICENT mid century handcarved walnut solid piece of hardwood DON QUIXOTE LARGE HEAD SCULPTURE. MAGNIFICENTLY HANDCARVED BY A MASTER WOOD CARVER. GORGEOUS DETAILS PLEASE SEE PHOTOS. IT DOES HAVE SOME AGE CRACKS DUE TO AGE OF THIS FINE MID CENTURY MODERNISM SCULPTURE - HOWEVER, DOES NOT TAKE AWAY FROM ITS DISPLAY NOR BEAUTY. MEASUREMENTS: 12 1/2\" TALL, 9\" WIDE, 6 1/2\" DEEP. SUBSTANTIAL WOOD SCULPTURE AND EXTREMELY HEAVY AS HARD WOOD. THE CARVING IS EXQUISITE...SEE THE DETAILS ON FACE, HAIR, GORGEOUS LINES OF ARTISTRY IN WOOD. This fine mid century modernism antique is from a three generation estate that I am currently liquidating. They travelled the world and loved their antiques and collectibles which they displayed over decades in their large old home. Condition: some age cracks (humidity) which is to be expected given itsr age! But, overall in wonderful condition as displayed in their formal Library and held in curio cabinet.
