A beautiful sterling silver with enamel overlay bracelet by one of the most important Taxco silversmiths, Margot de Taxco. Margot (Margot van Voorhies Carr, 1899-1985) arrived in Taxco in 1937 and soon after married Antonio Castillo while he was still working at William Spratling\'s silver shop. Her silver designs remain among the most unique and beautiful of all the Taxco silversmiths.This bracelet which is marked with its style number, 5545, is a relatively rare design, not often seen. The design is yellow grape clusters with green leaves. The bracelet is marked sterling and has an earlier Margot de Taxco mark indicating that it was made in the 1940\'s to 1950\'s.An absolutely stunning bracelet -- a wearable piece of art.Total weight is 57 grams. The inside diameter of the bracelet when closed is 2⅛ inch. The enamel work is in very good to excellent condition. I can see no flaws.
