Mid-Century Modern ~ ITALY ~ RAYMOR ART POTTERY ~ an Abstract Ceramic Plate with Handpainted Horse, c. 1950-1960s. Signed Italy FFF RM.

This abstract horse is hand painted, highly glazed and fired over a brown basalt background that is unglazed. There are no chips or damage. Notice the horse\'s chest. It appears to be cracked or damaged but is not. This striation is original to the piece and probably occurred during firing. As with all unglazed basalt, this does show fingerprints but can be washed. 7\" across. Beautiful and ready to display.
