As an Apollo 11 astronaut, part of the first mission ever to land humans on another celestial body, Michael Collins\' place in history is assured.

Published as a softcover in 2009, Carrying the Fire celebrates the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11\'s moon landing.

This copy is a 1st printing of this edition, and it has been signed by Mike Collins on the title page. Michael signed this book at the Smithsonian Institution at an event which brought him together with Alan Bean and Buzz Aldrin.

Condition is like-new and unread.

Michael will turn 85 years old in October of 2015.
