This is for a lovelyclean antique Common Prayer book with a sterling silver cover from 1904. The silver has been embossed withflowers and has a registered design number 426309. The silveris clearly hallmarked dating it to London 1904 with the makers initials W.C for William Comyns and the bookwas printed by Eyre & Spottiswoode. Itis in excellent condition, the the leather has no splits andthe pages sit absolutely flat, there is no tears or foxing ...etcand theystill all retain their original gilding to the edges. It measures 54mm just over 2\" tall by 48mm (1.75\") with 630 pages.I have other prayer books, miniature Bibles and religious books for sale so please check them out as well as all the other vintage ladies & gentlemans accessories we are selling on this week.
