Mint In The Original Presentation Boxes, Case Trapper Knives Commemorating the Service to Stokes County, NC Sheriff Mike Joyce. All three knives are Trappers, each from the same estate, and numbered #143. Beautiful wood boxes, each completely different, as are the engravings and the knives themselves. Bone treatments are Smooth, Jigged Red and Jigged Strawberry. Sheriff Joyce has passed since these knives were made and I knew him well, but I had not seen these knives before, which were made during his service.The knives were made in 2001-2003, and yes the dark red LTD story is true.
The Box lid holding the smooth bone knife, the first in the series, has some shallow scratches on top. The other two boxes appear as new. An unusual and interesting set of three knives. For a small county, I can\'t imagine there being more than 200 issues of any of the three.
