This piece has only been offered one other time to the market, along with the matching huntsman, and brought in a $50,817 hammer price two years back at Christies (Sale 8048, 2012). We are offering this sculpture for $10,000-$15,000 LESS than its value! This monumental figural group measures 16\" in height by 16\" in length and approximately 8\" in width. Each of the four hounds is detachable and properly marked. Base of sculpture properly marked with crossed swords and numbered V. 132. Two of the hound\'s tails are broken (I have the pieces in a ziplock bag as pictured) and the stirrup of the horse is partially broken on one side. An old repair to the tail of the horse. I cannot express the grandeur of this item..it truly belongs in a museum and is sure to be one of the highlight pieces of even the most prominent 19th century Meissen collections.
