Emmanuel \"Mac\" Raboy (April 17, 1914 – December 12, 1967) wasan American comics artist best known for his comic-book work on Fawcett Comics\' CaptainMarvel Jr. and as the Sunday comic-strip artist of Flash Gordon for more than 20 years.

Born in New York City, Raboy began his art career with the WorksProgress Administration during the Great Depression. In the 1940s he began working for comic books andgained fame as the illustrator for CaptainMarvel, Jr. and the Green Lama. In the spring of 1946, King Features hired Raboy to continue the Sunday page adventures ofFlash Gordon, which he continued to work on until his death.

Thisis a great example of his work, with nice images ofFlash battling the Walrus Men. It is the original artwork for a Flash Gordon Sunday strip from 9-30-1956. The art measuresin at 20 x 15 inches. This art, drawn in inkon Bristol board, is in great condition. The Photostat of the logo in the firstpanel is missing. The art is signed by Mac Raboy under the last panel.
