Description    A wonderful and unusual Hu form vase of a sturdily potted crackle soft-paste porcelain over a relief carved biscuit glaze, Ming style and theme (Tianqi-Chongzen), depicting classic Ming horses hand molded in relief beneath drooping willows and pine trees in a rocky landscape. The horses hand modeled with manes beautifully incised and in-glazed. The background dappled with beads of porcelain and pearls or peach’s applied to the mouth rim above craggy rocks and blades of grass.
   A rare form vase of the highest Fujian quality!
