Magnificent Art Deco 9 carat gold cigarette / cigar box, fully hallmarked for London 1920.
This is a very beautiful and superb quality gold cigarette / cigar box made by Charles and Richard Comyns in 1920.
The cigar box is rectangular in shape with square corners and straight sides.
The box has fine and crisp engine turned decoration to the lid and sides.
The box is 8 inches / 204 mm wide and 3-1/2 inches / 89 mm deep. It stands 2-1/2 inches / 63 mm high.
The box weighs 610 grams gross and the weight of the gold is 498 grams.
The box has clear hallmarks - 9.375 for 9 carat gold, London mark, letter E for 1920 and maker\'s mark C&RC for Charles and Richard Comyns.
The box is in excellent condition with no dents, damage or repair. The decoration is crisp and without wear.
I accept payment via Paypal as well as personal cheques in Pounds Sterling drawn on a UK bank. For international customers, by arrangement payment may also be done via bank wire transfer.
