• Phyllis Parkins (1944-2013) was an award winning doll artist. She started out doing reproductions and in 1979 began signing her original dolls. This one is signed Phyllis Parkins 1984. She filed for her trademark in 1984.
• The head bears the incised signature / mark: \"A. Marque / 12\". Albert Marque (1872-1939) was a French sculptor and doll maker of the late 19th and early 20th century. He made one hundred dolls in 1915 which are now considered some of the most valuable dolls in existence. The head is a reproduction A. Marque, produced by the artist Phyllis Parkins.
• This is a fully jointed doll, fully porcelain from head to toe. She has blue eyes, curly hair nicely styled, and she is wearing a large veil, a big flowing gown with lace, roses and satin, under skirt, pants, and slippers. A stand is included.
• She stands as high as 20\" depending on how you set her on the stand, and the skirt flows out to a maximum of about 20\" wide and deep.
• Condition is excellent. She just has some minor marks where the stand contacts the porcelain at her waist, a few slight age marks to the lace here and there and her hair needs to be better organized and the veil better pinned in place.
