Beautiful Vintage Fenton Silvercrest Console and CHOICE of one Pair of Silver Crest Candlesticks.

You have your choice of the short pair of candlesticks OR the tall pair of candlesticks either one beautifully matches the Fenton Silvercrest Console.

This vintage Fenton Silvercrest set would be historically called a Garniture Set which is a console and matching candlesticks.

The Garniture Sets were very popular during the Depression Era, consoles made a lovely centerpiece on the dining room table. The vogue of the time was to put a flower frog in the middle of the bowl, add an array of home grown blossoms, and create a stunning floral centerpiece that was flanked by candlesticks on each side. This beautiful display would be placed on the dining table or sideboard.

The bowl could be turned upside down and use it as a serving piece as these bowls were also reversible. By just flipping it over, it is now an attractive bowl for serving fruits, crackers, cookies, etc.

As a suggestion, a small Fenton Silver Crest Bowl of whipped cream can be placed in the center of the Console surrounded by fresh strawberries. The bright red of the strawberries against the pure white of the Fenton Silvercrest along with the whip cream would make one delicious looking and tasting dessert! Yummy

You can now use this Depression Era Fenton Treasure into the 21st century dining room and serve strawberries and whipped cream to your guests at your next party. They will be impressed with the lovely and delicious dessert.

One additional note: one small area of the console and the candlesticks have a bit of a wider edge of the clear Silvercrest. I don\'t know if this is an imperfection common during the manufacturing or if this is an imperfection of just these pieces.
