Original patriotic Civil War illustrated cover published by Chas. Magnus, 12 Frankfort St. N.Y. and printed in his characteristic bronze ink. The cover features portraits of Maj. Gen. McClellan and Gen. Anderson The hero of Fort Sumter. McClellan was promoted to Maj. General in 1861 the same year as Fort Sumter so this cover may date from early in the conflict. In excellent condition with an old flattened crease lower left.
