Mantua Civil War Era \"General\" 4-4-0. Repair/Restoration/Parts/Awesome Kitbash :
$20.50

This Mantua General 4-4-0 can serve as the basis for building a cool Civil War era steam engine. The Mantua General is the only readily available steam engine that is small enough to effectively model a Civil War 4-4-0. The Bachmann, MDC, and Rivarossi 4-4-0s are all to big by a noticeable margin. There are 3D printed conversion parts available on Shapeways to convert the Mantua General into a model of the \"Lt. General Grant\", a US Military RR locomotive. This model is missing the driveshaft and a handrail. It is also has a traction tire that is dried up and unusable. I have not tested the motor. Castings all seem to be in good condition. Wood load in tender seems to be made from matchsticks. Paint is fair. What you see is what you get.10% goes to the Illinois Railway Museum.
