This piece is in excellent condition. It has spent most of the last 20 years on display in our bedroom. Ipurchased thisLamp from an estate in Chicagoalong with the book that shows this \"EXACT LAMP\" pictured in the book (please see my pictures). The picture was taken by the author to put in his book. Thehistory about the lamp is this, it was placed in a prominent Chicago Hotel lobby some time in the early 20th century and later removed. There are 2 brass pins that heldthe baseto a table when used at the Hotel; you can see them in one of my pictures they do not distract at all they really blend into the bottom of the dish. There is verylittle wear to the paintand as I see it,it only has a few spots onone arm of one of the girls. The Ladies are really perfect with gold patina and a green scarf and green leaves in ones hair just wonderful detail throughout from theartistBergman\'s hand. The tree looks very real especially the leaves. The tree has one limb at the topbehind the light that has some paint loose with gold showing underneath. It is wiredand works just fine I do not know if it were ever rewired before I bought it. It does have a new plug at the veryend but the on off switch is the originalthe cordis 44\" long. The decorative cover over the bulb is wonderful with the little red and white cherryblossoms on the wired brass coverthat adds a greatcompliment to theglass cherriesin the tree. There are 4 pieces of green felt stripson the bottom of the base toprotect anysurface you may place it on, they will come off without any trouble. Please email me with any questions or requests for additional photos.
Thank you for looking and we hope you will consider this piece as an addition to your collection.
