This rare Marx History in the Pacific playset Box 4164 is a very nice set. It will give someone hours of play enjoyment or a perfect set to add to you collection.
From a private serious Marx Toy collector, the set appears to be complete.
Box is worn considering the age but holds up well. Flaps are torn at the seems, has a stain at the side and some faded spots on top of the box. Dividers inside with paper bags for storing accessories. See photo.
Set includes:
Dark forest green-2 half tracks, 1 tank, 3 water crafts, 2 jeeps (one Jeep has a towing piece missing) 2 rafts and 2 machine guns on trailer.
Lots of battlefield accessories in hard plastic Carmel and dark swirls throughout with a total of 23 pieces all in excellent condition.
2 silver gray howitzers that fire shells
1 small silver machine gun on a stand.
4 Japanese planes-all In very good condition
4 each barbed wire fences and Concetta coils
21 pieces of fern and palm trees
2 metal Flags, one Japanese and one American
2 parachutes with 2 parachuters
Canopy Camo tent set . Small rings are missing but still sets up well.
40 dark forest green American soldiers in 21 different poses, 1 cot
50 Amber colored Japanese soldiers in 13 different poses.
