For sale is this extremely rare Maxfield Parrish Original Edison Mazda calendar from 1919 titled \"Spirit of the Night\". This is considered by many to be the\"Holy Grail\" of theEdison Mazda calendar series.This piecerarely comes available for sale. I recently acquired this piece from a \"Picker\" who discovered this piece in a stack of old papers in the back of an old building. The family that owned thebuilding was getting ready to throw away the stack of papers when the pickerasked to sort thru thepaper before the pile was discarded. Tothe picker\'s surprise was this gem!The piece has magnificent color. There is a horizontal line thru the upper portion of the image and a kink on the upper right corner of the image where the piece got bent. This piece has since been professionally restored byone of the best conservators in the country.Once framed, this beauty would look amazing! The margins do have some age toning and minor bumps to the edges that would be mostly covered up once framed. The entire calendar measures 19\" x 8.5\" and comes withnearly the entire calendar pad.
