This is a rare walnut slat bench designed by Mel Smilow and made by the Smilow-Thielle company. It is similar to a George Nelson for Herman Miller bench from the 1950\'s period. This solid walnut bench has beautiful joints at each end and is extremely solid and well crafted. It has the original oiled walnut finish. There is some light scratching and wear from use. This can be refinished and looking as new very easily if you wish. It looks good with the vintage wear and patina. Please study the pics for the condition. It is 60 x 18 wide x 14 high on solid walnut legs. Many Smilow pcs have been re-issued. Thanks for looking.
