This wonderful piece is unique and exciting! Made before the turn of the century by Mermod Jaccard & Co., in St. Louis, Mo., it is quadruple plate, and marked as style number # 947. Once polished, which I will leave up to the new owner, this will be a brilliant sight to behold.
The figural angel, or cupid, is poised and supporting the large dish portion on top of the pedestal. The base isintricatelychased; and, the monogram on the side of the basereads, \"G.L.B.\", in lovely gothic block letters. The edge of the bowl has eight medallions encircling the rim...the detail is gorgeous!

SIZE: Measures approximately 12\" tall, from the base to the rim of the dish; and, the bowl is 11-1/2\" at its widest point, side to side.
CONDITION: Very collectible condition; there is no structural damage to thepiece. One of the medallions on the edge of the bowl has a bend, and there is a small flattening of an edge on the opposite side. The bowl\'s interior may have some plate-loss; there are some scratches, as well.I will beshipping the bowl unattached from the pedestal, as the screw holding the two pieces together isn\'t tight...Idon\'t believe it isoriginal to the piece.
