JOHN LENNON

John Winston Ono Lennon was a musician, singer-songwriter and founding members of The Beatles. The Beatles was one of the most successful bands in the history of popular music. The group later worked in many genres ranging from pop ballads to rock.

John Lennon was born on 9 October 1940 in Liverpool, England. In his early teens, he got his first guitar and would spend many hours playing. At the age 17, John met Paul McCartney, they complemented each other very well and formed a successful musical partnership. At the age 40, on 8 December 1980, John Lennon was tragically assassinated outside of his New York apartment building.

John Lennon played a variety of electric guitars, one of them is the Epiphone Casino. In 1966 The Beatles commenced on their third world tour, which included stops in Germany, Japan, the Philippines and the United States. For this tour, John Lennon chose his Epiphone Casino as his main guitar.
