The offering in this listing comes from a very large set of this vintage pattern from Minton China of England. The pattern is only numbered at G6285 and it hails from the early 1920s and is backstamped with the store name, Parmelee Dohrmann Co. Los Angeles, CA. It wasn’t uncommon for patterns to be made ‘store specific’ as a way of marketing imported china in the US. This pattern is about as elegant as you can get with a pure white background and a one half inch wide thickly embossed band of gold encrusting every piece. All pieces offered from this set are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or trim wear to the magnificent gold. There are very few, light utensil marks to a few of the plates with most appearing unused. If this is a family pattern for you, you won’t find a more pristine set from which to build yours.
