Here we have a Montblanc 146

This is from the 1950s

From research I see that this all all original.

Feed ski slope, thin, flexible nib, barrel telescoping, cap-masterpiece and size 5 1/4\"

One issue the cap has had shrinkage and the rings spin with the top ring able to move around the 2 others are in place. The rings are not bent.

The cap has light resistance when you go to screw the cap in but once you start to screw no issues.

The piston is working smoothly with no issues, holds water.

The pen has not been polished. Original luster that is really nice for this old pen

So with one repair this pen is top notch.

Pen description

Model - Montblanc 146

Length Capped - 5 1/4\" Capped

Filler - Telescopic piston filler

Manufactured - 1950s

NIB - Wonderful Montblanc Flex 14k M nib only found on the early pens.

Color - Black celluloid.

Condition – Everything Excellent, except celluloid shrinkage on the cap. The 3 cap rings are free spinning. They are not bent in any way.

Restored or not restored - Not Restored, Pen has not been used and piston is still smooth as can be.

Restored definition - Meaning that the pen has had the sac changed, full wipe down and the nib is dipped in ink to insure that it writes. The pen will be in full working order!

Pen Condition Guide

Mint- Factory Bright quality

Near Mint-Perfect condition, but lost a little brightness

Excellent - Older but with no dents, chips, cracks, scratches or repairs.

Very Fine- No chips, cracks, deep scratches or repairs. May have some wear.

Fine- Intact and may have some chips, dings or repairs.

Good- May have some visible chips, dings, scratches or repairs

Poor- Missing parts and has damage
