Montblanc
paid tribute to great writers whose works have become part of world literature, with its
Writers Limited Editions.I’m now offering from my personal collection a rare 3 piece, mint condition
Montblanc, Writers Limited Edition, Agatha Christe, Imperial Dragon
writing set.Based on the classic style of the early 1920’s
this collectible edition was originally destined for the far Eastern market
and consists of the fountain pen, ball-point pen and mechanical pencil.Produced as a follow-up to their successful Ernest Hemingway pen series
the elaborate pure silver, Imperial Dragon with ruby eyes clip,
was chosen for its strength, agility and longevity.This vintage set with all 3 pieces having the matching serial number 0936
has never been used,
regrettably the original box and documents have been lost over the years.“925” and “GERMANY” are engraved between the top two silver bands.
Below those bands are the “Imperial Dragon” signature and serial number.
Engraved into the bottom section silver band is
“MONTBLANC – MEISTERSTUCK – EDITION.The fountain pen has a piston filling mechanism and
a two tone rhodium plated, solid gold,
medium nib stamped 18k. / 750 and 4810.
Only 888 units out of 5,000 were made with this gold nib.The mechanical pencil can also be converted into a ballpoint pen
and had 1,500 units produced in its series.
