Monumental Painted Urns - Maryland WildlifeWe are in the process of downsizing and selling items that we just can\'t move into a smaller residence. These two urns we are having a difficult time parting with but they are too large for our future residence. The were painted by Lois Hennessey (American, b. 1936), a local artist and currently teaching in Maryland. What is absolutely special about these urns is that they display vignettes depicting various species of Maryland wildlife - a considerable number from the Chesapeake Bay.These were signed by the artist in 1986 and are mounted on wooden pedestals that can be rotated to display the various vignettes. These are absolutely breathtaking. There are two urns both of which have separate wildlife scenes. The urns are approximately 45 inches high and the pedestals are 32 inches high and 15 inches square.
