The hunter\'s style eight day musical German cuckoo clock features wooden hands, a wooden dial with Roman numerals, and a hand-painted and hand-carved cuckoo bird. This cuckoo clock case features several hand-carved oak leaves, a hare, a bird and a buck at the peak. The dancers revolve on their platformon thehour and at the half hour.This clock also plays the music \"Edelweiss\" with the dancers. Three cast iron pine cone weights are suspended beneath the clock case by three separate brass chains. The hand-carved oak leaf pendulum continuously swings back and forth which controls the timing of the clock. On every hour the cuckoo bird emerges from the swinging door above the clock dial and counts the hours by cuckooing once per hour. There is a sound shut-off lever beneath the base of the cuckoo clock. The eight day all brass mechanical movement is wound once every eight days by raising the pine cone weights.
