Welcome to Mutiny Lagoon! This is a new, handmade display base for your Lemax, Dept 56 or other similar sized Halloween village pieces.

This display platform has an entirely handmade wooden \"dock\" complete with mooring ropes made from cotton string. The wood planks have been carved and and painted to look like weather-beaten dock boards. It is secured in the resin \"lagoon\" so \"villagers\" won\'t need worry about falling in! The upper level is made of individually placed and painted \"weathered Flagstones\" to help portray a spooky atmosphere.
The pictures show the display base set up as two different scenes as examples of how it can be set up. The \"lagoon\" is made of clear resin with rock added for interest.

This base is completely handmade by me!

This base measures approximately 18\" x 17\". It is made of sturdy, yet lightweight insulation Styrofoam. It ships in a sturdy box that you can keep forstorage of the base when you\'re not using it.

Please note that the village buildings and accessories in thephotos are NOT included with the display base.They are there to show some possible ways this platform can be used for your Halloweenvillage setting.
My goal is to make a platform with interestinglandscaping and realistic details. Unlike larger display bases that are more ofa platform to arrange a collection of pieces, my bases will enhance andshowcase a small group of buildings and accessories, helping you create anintriguing and individual miniature world of wonder and mystery!

I continuously try to find, alter, and creatematerials that will give a realistic, natural impression to each base, such aschopping, painting, dyeing, and blending various natural and organic materialsfor ground cover, incorporating real stones, rock, or sand, and using real woodfor bridges, piers, and planked pathways. In building mini-worlds, I handcraftitems such as boulders, sidewalks, and stone walls. Many of the bushes, trees,and clumps of tall grasses (cattails, water grasses, etc.) are handmade, thoughoccasionally I feel the need to incorporate man-made flora that I\'ve altered tofit the scale and \"mood\" of the base in order to create the desiredeffect.

I have been making these display bases since 2007 and lovethe challenge of creating realistic and intriguing details. I take pride in mywork and hope you enjoy my efforts!
