Up for sale is a very hard to find Named C.E.F. (Canadian Expeditionary Forces) divisional marked Brodie helmet from WW1, with the Canadian Dental Corps insignia on both sides. This helmet has and looks like it has been through the war! The helmet still retains most of its original paint, as well as the divisional insignia on both sides of the helmet. The insignia is in the shape of a green diamond, which signifies that it was worn by a member of the Canadian Dental Corps during WW1 (for reference please check \"Distinguishing Patches\" by Clive M Law.) The hat is named inside the helmet to \"John Schmidt\". The liner does not remain, aside from a small piece of leather in the centre- however both chinstrap fasteners are still present- someone added some Vietnam era chinstraps to the helmet which I have left on. There are also some markings on the interior rim of the helmet which I cannot make out- any help is greatly appreciated! This helmet was previously listed in the collections section of my website as an example of a WW1 helmet.While in worn condition, C.E.F. helmets are increasingly hard to find, and especially rare with insignia as most were discarded, worn off or painted over. This helmet would look excellent in any WW1, C.E.F., Helmet or military collection!
