From Nola Brewery:\"The term \"Hopzilla\" is the nickname of our Brewmaster, Peter Caddoo, as he is infamously known for making extremely hoppy beers. Since Hopzilla was already used as a beer name, we decided to use the mechanical version of the name, Mechahopzilla. When coming up with our designs, we always want to incorporate the city of New Orleans in some way since we are the only local brewery in the city; therefore, we worked hand in hand with Taphandles, Inc. and together came up with the idea of a mechanical Hop Monster taking over popular landmarks in New Orleans, including the Mercedes Benz Superdome where the Saints play.\"
