This is the King Olav pattern by Royal Pewter (Konge-Tinn) made in Hardanger, Norway. The 1958 design by Odd Leikvell was inspired by historical events from the late Viking period when King Olav the Holy and many of his men sacrificed their lives for Christianity at the famous battle of Stiklestad, Norway, in the year 1,030 A.D. The spreader is 6\" long and is signed on and just below the Viking ship \"Pewter, Tinn, Norway, HS\'\'.
