Niceantiquegerman violin made circa 1900 by Alfred Moritz in Dresden after a Francisco Gobetti model, 3/4 size. The old violins in 3/4 size are not that common, especially when they are in this superb mint condition, without any crack and with the original varnish entirely preserved. The top is made of two parts of spruce and shows irregular grain lines widening to the edges. The back is made of two parts of flamed maple, the curl slightly descending from the center joint. The ribs, neck and head are of the same wood. The varnish is of a golden-Brown colour.

The instrument is in a rare perfect state of preservation, with just a few scratches on the varnish. The violin has been entirely revised and set-up, including a rosewood tailpiece with bone fret, a rosewood chinrest, a Despiau bridge and Evah Pirazzi new strings set. The pegs are old (possibly original) and still fit.

On the inside back can be foundthe originallabel of Alfred Moritz, \"Copy of Franciscus Gobetti fecit Dresdae anno 18... especially made for...\".

The sound is warm with baroque accents, a very sensitive sound that will give the younger musician the chance to develop his/her gift!
