You are offerding on a fabulous Reuge music box in an incredible burl box!
This box plays a rare tune - I had never even heard of it before. I\'ve looked it up, and it may be based on the writings of William Blake. I do not know why this has a second sticker over the tune label attributing the song to Olgivanna Lloyd Wright...I can\'t find anything about her writing such a song. Whatever the source of the song, it\'s an interesting, mysterious, almost otherworldly tune.

It does probably play a bit slower than it ought to, but it winds readily and overall functions as it should. It has a very nice tone and volume.
There are just a couple minor issues that I noticed:
1) There is damage to one foot. (See photo five.) Looks like one of the tiny nails was too close to the edge and chipped out a bit of wood.
2) One of the pieces of wood that holds in the glass is missing. (See the final photo.) The other pieces are in there tight, though, so there doesn\'t appear to be any danger of the glass falling out.
3) One of the gears in the musical movement is made out of plastic, and it does make a soft whirring sound as the box plays. It doesn\'t really impact the performance of the box, but if it bothers you, I could give you the name of a great Reuge specialist who could replace the gear.
The box itself is really fantastic - the burl is amazing, with an almost three-dimensional quality to it. It\'s probably one of the nicest burl boxes I\'ve ever seen. It\'s in great shape, with little to no wear. It measures roughly 9 x 5 x 3.5 inches.
All in all, this is a really great find. Add it to your collection today - or if you don\'t already have a music box collection, this would make a great start!!

Update as of 4/26/16My Reuge contact informs me that this may be a custom tune, possibly commissioned by Olgivanna Lloyd Wright. He\'s still investigating the box, but if this is true, then this may be the only box in existence with this tune.In addition, he talked me through lubricating the movement. The movement now plays at a normal pace. I will try to update the video at some point to reflect the changes. While I was at it, I cleaned the glass.So now the only thing this box really needs is the piece of wood on the inside (available for purchase from my Reuge contact)!
