MINI BIO ABOUT AL JAKEAl was born in Zuni in 1959 & learned the art of classic Navajo silversmithing from his parents & has grown to be one of the \"finer\" & collectible when it comes to traditional Navajo styles. Being a sand painter, as well as a painter,helps to give him the \'eye\' for creating these pieces that are super appealing to the eye & have perfect balance between metal & stone.He is among a group of modern day silversmiths,that makes weighty & very traditional \'old school\' Navajo jewelry &is known for his heavily stamped silver pieces,while always giving us the highest grade stones possible.DESCRIPTIONWell executed & designed with the cleanest of lines,this pendant has a very traditional,but yet contemporary style.The deep navy colored Lapis is cut with the finest lapidary skills & is highlighted with an extending amount of sterling that has perfectly stamped lines,that follow the form of the stone & only encourages the beauty & cut of the Lapis to noticed. The oxidation is left in the crevices of the lines & makes thesterling gleams with beauty,even more!
The bale has the same sterling work & is large enough to put through a single large strand sterling Navajo Pearl necklace or as shown in photo 2,5 &10, with the 5 strand Lapis/Navajo Pearl necklace that you will find in my listings..
