What makes this so rare and unseen is the condition and that is utilitarian and not decorative ...It is an original shellfish basket used to gather small oysters and clams ...so the sand falls off while you carry the basket.....They are almost never seen in displays as most were flattened during storage...most are damaged and broken...this is delicate and in Excellent condition...it is beautiful in it\'s simplicity...Absolutely MuseumQuality This was obtained by a collector in 1940 and in his personal collection until recently.
The size is 8\" high 5\" wide
